I’m writing to you today to introduce you to an exciting new platform that we are developing at Strawberry Fields Interactive called Aeksia. Aeksia is a platform in which we bring the dynamics of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPG) to the virtual reality (VR) gaming platform.

This project was first conceptualized in 2019 while I was working at the BC Tech Cube, a Vancouver-based collaborative space for virtual and augmented reality development companies. Since then, it has been our primary focus and it led us to apply for the Canada Media Fund (CMF) Conceptualization Program. After being accepted, we used that fund to create concept art, a proof of concept and qualitative research to support the application for additional funding from Creative BC’s Innovation Fund and CMF’s Prototyping Program. We were successfully accepted for both programs in 2020, raising more than CAD 250,000 and, after some COVID-19 related delays; we officially started the production of our prototype in October 2020.

With that said, I am now proud to introduce Aeksia to you. We have reached the point of having a functional prototype and we are continuously testing the platform with real users to improve its useability in an iterative development process. Aeksia is a platform that enables game masters/streamers to deliver a seamless audio/visual experience in real-time to a growing audience of tabletop RPG players and spectators. Aeksia is not only a game; it’s a platform for gamers.

If you are not familiar with us, Strawberry Fields Interactive is a team of creators who create highly sociable experiences in the digital world. The company was founded in 2019 with the sole purpose of developing the Aeksia platform, but we plan to keep growing the business and work on multiple projects.

Things are moving quite fast and in the best direction for Aeksia. We have plans for a Kickstarter campaign in the fourth quarter of 2021. We are also raising more funds for the production phase, planned to start early in 2022. The game continues to make giant leaps in content, playability and fun.

Please take a moment to sign-up for our Aeksia newsletter and if you’re interested in getting into the game to try it out and be part of our community, join our Discord community. Thanks for your attention and we hope to see you in the Aeksia social hub soon!

With warm regards,

Danilo Correia – Producer & Co-founder
